The VersaCoil™ gondola, used to carry "hot-band" and finished coils for the steel industry, is engineered to provide a number of loading options; reduce loading time and expense; and eliminate in-transit damage. The VersaCoil™ offers five or seven transverse-troughs with dimensions that are ideal for carrying a range of small, medium and large coils with weights up to 100,000 pounds per coil. A lightweight insulated aluminum or steel cover is also available for the VersaCoil™ railcar.
